WILLIAMS: CONFIDENCE BOOSTED

Williams is celebrating its 40th anniversary in Formula 1 this year, a huge milestone for the historic British squad. It has secured nine constructors’ championships since its debut in 1977, and seven drivers’ crowns - for F1 luminaries like Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Damon Hill and Alain Prost.

But Jacques Villeneuve remains its last F1 world champion, that feat now two decades back in 1997 during the 3-litre V10 engine era.
